The future of the automobile is uncertain. There are concerns about over-saturation of the market, which is occurring at the same time as slowing technological innovation. Currently, NHTSA requires all automobiles to have tire pressure monitoring and a driver’s-side airbag as well as other systems such as lane-keeping assist. These technologies will continue to evolve and improve as technology advances. Hopefully this will help reduce the number of automobile accidents and deaths on America’s roads.
